Wow, where to begin. This blog has definitely not has as much love from me over the past year as it deserves (Sorry Paradise Pantry). Thanks for sticking by me everyone ❤︎

I do have a good reason though! I built a house andddd went on placement (which was like a very intense, full time job). So understandably the past year of my life has been pretty full, which has meant this blog had to take a back seat. But now I’m officially a Dietitian and Nutritionist and am very happy to be able to put a bit more time towards Paradise Pantry (amongst the wedding planning!).

Today I’m so excited to share with you one of my all time favourite, best of the best recipes. One that I make weekly and enjoy nearly everyday. It’s just so tasty, so simple and very nourishing. Last year and this year has been very busy – third year uni and building a house were not meant to be done at the same time but I made sure I always had my jar of granola filled and hey, I made it through! Hi guys ❤ It’s been way, way too long since I’ve been able to have the time to write a blog post. It feels so nice and natural to be back at it again. Uni, moving/building house, ear operations etc have all taken over my life but if you have been following me on Instagram and Facebook you’ll know that I’ve still be cooking and creating.

Since it’s been a while here’s a little update on what Paradise Pantry and I have been up to ⇨

◇ Made it through my first semester of third year Nutrition and Dietetics (by some miracle)

◇ Most of you will know from my social media posts but we had to say goodbye to our beautiful dog Blaze, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease which seemed to be getting better but in the end his little body just couldn’t cope 🙁 we miss him terribly.

◇ Demolishing our block of land next week to build a duplex (surreal)

◇ Have become addicted to Calmer Sutra Tea’s new super spiced cacao and Outlander (show on Netflix, not the car)

◇ Cannot get enough of Earth and Baker’s amazing work, their bowl is used below

As the days are starting to have more of a chill in the air (which means 27 degrees on the Gold Coast) I start craving hot drinks early morning and in the afternoon. I adore my chai’s, hot chocolate’s and matcha latte’s but now a new drink has fast become part of my decision making process. The Turmeric Latte. Full of goodness, spices and flavour, what more could you want. You can feel the warming effects of the spices immediately.
